I’ve been thinking about how the pandemic has influenced home stagers –
Here are some current ideas –
- The Home Office – this is the buzz word! The home office is now an area to stage. Whether a room that was clearly built as an office or a new space created for use as an office. The rise of people working from home means showing a space that can be used for that purpose. The growing requests has meant more desks and office items to support this growth in our homes.
- Bring on the Natural Light – The pandemic has caused and has created a higher level of anxiety. Studies suggest that natural light from great windows or enclosed outdoor spaces can boost people’s mood and, over the long term, improve mental health.
- Spotlight Outdoor Living – The “bonus room” may now be your livable outdoor space. Staging does not stop at the back door anymore. From pretty porches that offer an optimal first impression to an outdoor haven that expands the home’s living space – moving forward, staging will embrace the entire property!
- Time to Send Cozier Vibes – Guess what? Cozy is the new Luxury! More place settings on tables, setting up a coffee station with a tray, mugs, napkins – displaying magazines and books on coffee tables, and draping fur throw blankets over beds – all of this conveys a more homey feel! Don’t forget the outdoor fire pit and the hammock!
These are things we have been seeing! #joliepowellrealty WE ARE ESSENTIAL!
